Title: “Synthetic Observations of Molecular Clouds: Chemical Tracers of
Different Phases”.
Abstract: “Molecular Clouds (MCs) are complex astronomical environments. They
are the place of star formation and a lot of different physical processes,
such as gravitational collapses, stellar winds, and supernovae explosions,
take place there. Furthermore, several hundreds of different chemical species
have been detected and the reaction network is thought to be very complex.
The “SILCC” project aims to numerically simulate the life-cycle of MCs and
several synthetic clouds have already been created. These simulated clouds
also include a complex chemical network and, therefore, synthetic
observations of the simulated chemical species can be produced. Comparisons
between those synthetic observations and the simulation data permit to
understand which species are most efficient to trace the different phases of
the MCs.”
